The dominant element test works with the four elements of the Greco-medieval tradition (Fire, Water, Air, Earth) and identifies the one most present in your profile. It is useful as a symbolic compass and lends itself to a natural dialogue with astrology, which assigns each zodiac sign to one of the four elements.

The four elements

Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius): action, drive, passion, warmth, initiative. Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn): concreteness, stability, order, patience, construction. Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): communication, ideas, relationship, mental, movement of thought. Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces): feelings, intuition, depth, empathy, inner life. The theory of the four elements goes back to Empedocles (5th century BC) and crossed Greek, medieval and Renaissance culture.

How the test works

Answer a series of questions about your preferences, habits, emotional reactions and ways of working. The tool sums answers by element and returns: dominant element, secondary element, absent or scarce elements and a brief reading with practical suggestions (how to balance an excess of Fire, how to integrate a lack of Water, etc.).

How to use the result

Knowing your dominant element helps recognize your spontaneous style: a Fire person tends to act first and reflect later, a Water person to feel first and speak later. Knowing the "missing" element is equally useful: it indicates a growth direction, qualities worth cultivating with small practical experiments.

FAQ

Does my dominant element change over time?

The test measures the current moment: some life phases activate more Fire (action), others more Water (interiority). It is normal to get different results if you retake the test later.

How to integrate a missing element?

With small symbolic practices: missing Earth, take care of home, eat regularly, walk in nature; missing Water, write a journal, listen to music that moves you; missing Air, read, converse, travel mentally; missing Fire, do sport, take decisions, expose your ideas.

Is it linked to feng shui?

Feng shui uses five elements of the Chinese tradition (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), different from the four Greek elements. The logic is similar but not overlapping.
