Soul number
The soul number, or motivation number (soul urge number in the Anglo-Saxon tradition), is obtained by adding the numerical value of only the vowels in your full name and reducing it to a final number between 1 and 9 (or master number). It describes your deep needs and what gives you meaning.
Logic of the calculation
In numerological tradition, vowels represent breath, inner voice and spiritual essence: for this reason they are associated with the soul. The Pythagorean table is used (A=1, E=5, I=9, O=6, U=3); you add the values of the vowels and reduce. The Y counts as a vowel only when it is not followed by another vowel.
