Karmic number
The karmic number is, in theosophical numerology, a number that points to a recurring symbolic "lesson" on a person s path. The classical karmic numbers are 13, 14, 16 and 19: they are identified when one of these totals appears at an intermediate step of the calculation of the destiny, soul or personality number.
The four karmic numbers
13 lesson of patient work: a tendency to seek shortcuts. 14 lesson of moderation: a tendency to excess and constant change. 16 lesson of humility: a tendency to sudden reversals of the ego. 19 lesson of independence that is not solitary: a tendency to proud isolation. A person may have zero, one or more karmic numbers.
Reading
In a reincarnationist key (theosophical, Hindu), the karmic numbers describe symbolic "debts" carried over from previous lives. In a secular psychological key, they can be read as deep recurrences of one s structure: patterns that call for awareness. They are not condemnations, but directions of work.
FAQ
What does having no karmic numbers mean?
It means that the totals 13, 14, 16 and 19 do not appear in your calculations. It is neither positive nor negative: you have other lessons readable in destiny, soul and personality.
Does changing my name erase a karmic number?
It changes the karmic number calculated on the name (soul, personality). It does not change the one tied to the date of birth.
Is it a fixed destiny?
No. It is an invitation to awareness. Recognising the pattern can reduce its automatic effect.
